Description

Catalog description
Novelty 2025: The BR 62 was the result of the efforts of the Reichsbahn Central Office to develop a series of standardised locomotives for different areas of use. Based on the never-built BR 20, a fast two-cylinder hot steam tender locomotive with a 2C2 axle arrangement was developed. The contract to build the locomotives was awarded to the Henschel company, which delivered a total of 15 locomotives in 1928. The DRG initially only took over the 62 001 and 002 and used them in the Ruhr area. The remaining 13 locomotives were not put into service until 1932. Shape variant | Digitally switchable drivers cab lighting | Digitally switchable running gear lighting | Digitally switchable firebox flickering | With steam generator | Filigree ingot frames | Clear view in the engine area | Fine wheel stars | Fine brake linkage | Window inserts in the drivers cab | Unobstructed interior | Detailed boiler and drivers cab rear wall | Die-cast zinc and metal parts | Motor with flywheels | PIKO TrainSound® onboard
