Novelty 2022: Variant of the class 216 in the version of a class V 160 of the DB in Era III. The class V 160 or 216 was the express locomotive for lines without catenary wire on the German Federal Railroad in the 1960s and 1970s. The model of this important vehicle type not only fills a gap in PIKO´s N assortment, but will also enrich many model railroad layouts of epochs III to V with numerous variants. The development team has implemented the striking styling of the prototype in outstanding quality in the model and at the same time achieved ideal driving characteristics. These attributes are underscored by the effective use of perfect engravings and a paint scheme that is coherent down to the smallest detail. Contemporary LED technology serves as the basis for the light change in red and white. The Next18 digital interface is state of the art, a decoder can be easily plugged in.
