After the Deutsche Reichsbahn had gained operational experience with the V 60.10, the design was optimized: The class V 60.12, from 1970 class 106.2-9, received a new cab that offered more protection from rain, snowfall and sunlight. In addition to design changes to the undercarriage, the front porch now had three double doors, the rear porch two. The model has prepared the large cab, the top light on the engine stems, many individually set parts, metal coupling rods, digital and sound retrofit
