Description

Catalog description
Novelty 2024: Printed version of the class 140 in the BayernBahn version in Era VI. The model has digitally switchable cab lighting installed as standard. The five-pole motor ensures excellent running characteristics with two large flywheels and power pick-up via eight wheels. To ensure high tractive power, the PIKO model has two traction tyres in addition to the die-cast zinc frame, which are positioned diagonally to each other on the inside axles of both bogies. The model has a PSD XP sound decoder with the largest possible loudspeaker ex works. The model bears the fits mfx® quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital control centres, a new fits mfx® quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test. These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the fits mfx® quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the fits mfx® logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
