Catalog description

Novelty 2024: Moulded version of the class 103 as a short version of the DB in Era IV. The model impresses with a heavy die-cast metal frame with a finely detailed body, the finest paintwork and printing and filigree metal single-arm pantographs. The five-pole, ball-bearing motor with two flywheels ensures excellent running characteristics. The LED light changes white/red depending on the direction of travel and, like the cab interior lighting, can be controlled digitally with a PluX22 decoder. The model has a matching PSD XP sound decoder with the largest possible loudspeaker ex works. The model bears the fits mfx® quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital control centres, a new fits mfx® quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test. These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the fits mfx® quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the fits mfx® logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
