The PIKO Expert model of the class 1100 of the Dutch State Railways NS convinces a successful mold construction with coherent roof curves and many attached parts, such as fine insulators and pantographs, free-standing grab irons and stairs. The model has the matching lamp molds, sharply engraved bogie covers with realistic spring assembly reproductions and faithful reproductions of the buffer planks. The lighting is provided by LEDs. The cab and engine room lights as well as the front and rear lights that work depending on the direction of travel can be controlled digitally with a PluX22 decoder. The heavy die-cast zinc frame and the motor with two large, precisely balanced flywheel masses provide excellent driving characteristics and high tractive forces. A PIKO SmartDecoder 4.1 with mfx capability is installed ex works, and the locomotive is also prepared for easy retrofitting with sound and the largest possible speaker.
